![]() The shape of the grip plates will be a personal choice and you will have to shoot it for yourself to find out. This should not be an issue for most people. Just for your information I sweat in the winter so I have sweaty palms. I would just wrap the grip in black athletic tape and would solve the slip issue. They also were not anti-slip by any means to me. They were too abrupt and felt weird in my hand. But I did not like the black grip plates on the side of the grip. This is a very personal thing for people and everyone is different. The only thing I really was not a fan of with this bow was the grip. This bow is silky smooth and that in my mind was priority number one for this bow! Most bows are shooting 330+ these days so I would call this a speed bow by any means but that was not Quest’s primary focus. I would say they have the smoothness and forgiveness aspect nailed but not so sure on the speed. Quest’s focus for this bow was smoothness, speed and forgiveness. I have no doubt you could shoot the larger 1 3/8” broad heads like Ram Cat and have no problem with this shelf. I experience little hand shock with this bow and is a solid shooter! The shelf on this bow is very wide and deep and will accommodate the biggest broad heads. But for a bow in this category and price range it knocks one out of the park with the new Fluid Cam. It is very smooth I would not expect it to be anything but with an IBO speed of 322. One thing I am really impressed with is this bows draw cycle. This bow draws exceptionally smooth and has a solid back wall and allows you to creep a half inch or so. ![]() It also features their new I-Glide which reducing torque on the cables and improves the bows smoothness throughout the draw cycle. It features the Fluid Cam which features a rotating module that allows you to switch draw length without a bow press with only one module. The Torrent is one of the new bow offerings from Quest this year for 2012. This bow is smooth drawing and shooting and has a solid back wall. Features 452s bowstrings from the factory and comes with bowjax limb dampener system. Has the new fluid cams for 2012, and the bow is a single cam bow. It features a machined riser out of 6061 –T6 forged aluminum. A 31” ATA bow with a 7 inch brace height that shoots Ibo speeds up to 322 FPS. ![]()
